Description
WC-308 Specially designed for the factory floor and other harsh industrial environments, the WC-308 is ideal for system integrators or users who require a compact, rugged PC/AT compatible system. The WC-308 features a space for 8-slot passive backplane and space for a standard PS/2 power supply. The optional power supply supports a full set of cards plus drives and meets UL, CSA, VED and IEC standards. The chassis has space for one 3.5" floppy disk drive, one 3.5" hard drive and two 5.25". ON/OFF LED's and a reset switch are also included. A patented-buffered clamp protects cards from vibration. One 8x8cm intake cooling fan pressurizes the case to keep dust out. A front-loading filter makes filter replacement easy. This 8-slot enclosure puts a PC bus system in the tightest of spaces. The chassis is only 10" wide and can easily be mounted on panels or walls with the supplied brackets. The WC-308 is an inexpensive choice for both disk-based and diskless systems. You can install conventional disk drives, but for maximum protection against equipment failures we suggest that you install a solid-state Flash / RAM / ROM disk card or one of our CPU Cards with DiskOnChip Socket. In this way you can create a "diskless" remote station or cell controller that is cost-effective and extremely durable. |
